Walking in Toronto
2023-08-05misc
I stayed in Toronto alone for two months in April / May 2023 and this gave me an opportunity to explore the downtown area on foot. It was a revelation how accessibility to pedestrians can be so empowering. Beyond pedestrians, the accessibility extended to cyclists, skaters, skateboarders and wheelchairs. The weather was warm only for a few days and these I was able to make use for the longer walks to High park, Tommy Thompson park and the Brickworks.
I used My Track on my android phone for recording the walks. While this was free at the time I used it, exporting the tracks needs a subscription now, but it is still probably worth it. I imported these kml tracks into Google maps and created the map shown above.
